Bear hunting season at Houston Lake Camp runs from August 15 to October 13, in accordance with Ontario hunting regulations. We are also open for a Spring Bear Hunt from June 1 to June 15, offering another great opportunity for hunters to experience the season.
Our guests enjoy access to an exclusive hunting area spanning over 200 square miles of prime bear habitat. Each bear hunting package includes active baiting with designated bait sites, as well as skinning, quartering, and preservation of meat and hide.
To ensure a high-quality, personalized experience, we limit the number of hunters each week. This allows us to provide the attentive service we are known for.
We’re proud of our strong success rate—every bear hunter we’ve hosted has seen a bear, and over 90% of our hunters successfully harvest one.

Moose hunting season is one our most exciting times of the year.
